Impromptu Reading Plans – Sputnik Sweetheart

Sputnik Sweetheart

After mentioning that I had an itch to read Murakami before the year ends, Nadia from A Bookish Way of Life said she’d join me. We both have Sputnik Sweetheart sitting on our shelves so if you have it too and want to read it with us, we plan to read it over Thanksgiving break. It’s on the short side, 224 pages. No formal read along, just some fun reading to break up the rut I am apparently in.

Let me know if you are up for it by leaving a comment. I will use the hash tag #readingsputnik to talk about it.

  1. Fun! I’ve over committed this month, but I’m itching to read more Murakami. Have fun with it!

  2. Long-time lurker here. I felt like I should chime in just to say that Sputnik Sweetheart is such a GOOD book. I’m tempted to join in. Will this discussion be here or on Twitter? I’m new as to how you do things here!

    • I am so glad you chimed in. It won’t be a formal discussion. I did that with Wind-up Bird and it was a lot of fun but since there
is such short notice for this one, I am skipping the formalities.

I plan to talk about it on Twitter while I am reading it using the hash tag #readingsputnik and then I will post a review where we can discuss
      it there too.

  4. I’m so excited, that I just can’t hide it – which is why I wrote a post about this, too ;)

  5. […] Sweetheart by Haruki Murakami this week. We were both hankering for Murakami’s writing so I put it out there for others and a few decided to drink the Kool-aid with us. We’ll be on Twitter off and on […]
